Webroot - They practice the bait and switch tactic

i had webroot for a year straight free of problems then at the end of subscription they try automatical renewal for 79$. when the first package costed only 24$. i now just bought the new cheapest package for 39$ which is to renew at the prices that will be set next year.. yeah right lucky me i do this from a virtual prepaid card otherwise i would have paid a lot of money for a decent antivirus.

Had a couple of support tickets for the issues and the technical support closed them as 'resolution provided' (no solution or workaround provided). For the last couple of months of remote sessions (over 40 hours in total), they concluded all the issues caused by the...

There is a maze of FAQs and hoops to jump through, but nothing will ever get you through to anyone if it's after hours. These guys have a good product, so they figure you'll never, ever have a problem or question that will inconvenience them. OK, so the minimum here is...

Hacked several times with Webroot

I got *** at least 5 times and the hackers added themselves as Admin Users. The camera went on by itself. Webroot also does not have 24/7 support while your getting hacked all weekend. Webroot also tells you that you don’t have to monitor all your files..Really? It’s a joke,,would never recommend this product. I had to take my Mac to Bestbuy 4 times to get the hackers off my Mac while Webroot cont denied I was hacked by Added Users.

I paid for two years. They "scanned my computer" and cleaned it out. Within one month I started getting the webroot icon with the explanation point. I called customer service (all of them in India) who said that meant something was wrong in my computer. Well-if they...

I had Webroot virus protection for a year. I didn't renew because I found a free program that I liked much better. When I didn 't renew, Webroot left a pop-up on my computer that keeps harassing me to renew my subscription. Not being computer savvy, I can't seem to...

Absolutely same problem. A big pain in the *** to get rid of it. That is inexcusable and a virus in itself.
